In 2016, a bold question emerged from within the YALI alumni community: What if we could harness our collective power—not just for networking, but for mutual financial liberation? From that spark, YALICOS was born.
We are the YALI Alumni Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, a member-owned financial institution built by alumni, for alumni. Provisionally registered in February 2024 after years of passionate advocacy by visionary leaders, we represent a new model of economic empowerment, one rooted in trust, transparency, and the unshakable belief that collaboration creates change.
We are not a bank. We are not a loan shark. We are a community of leaders pooling our resources to create opportunities that none of us could build alone. Every savings account opened, every loan disbursed, every asset financed is a testament to the power of collective action.
